This poster was created for Nando’s and Bridges for Music, an organisation gathering key players in the music industry to support their efforts in positively impacting disadvantaged communities – through music.
This image was made by isolating a short moment of sound. The ‘shape’ of the sound wave was used in a tie-dye creation. This poster was made with (Driemanskap; Ed Sheeran, Zolani Mhola and Jeremy Loops; DJ Themba)’s sounds.
The tie-dyed fabric was then scanned and printed onto acoustic friendly fabric; the fabric covers an acoustic panel. The posters were installed in the Bridges for Music studios to reduce sound echoing, by capturing sound.
These acoustic posters serve to remind visitors of the role sound can play in changing lives.
